What is asthma?
Asthma is a respiratory condition in which a person’s airways become inflamed, narrow and swell and produce extra mucus. This makes it difficult for a person to breathe. This triggers coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath.
The effects of asthma vary from person to person. For some it is just a minor problem they can deal easily with but for some, it is a major problem that affects their normal life and day to day activities. Asthma may also lead to a life threatening attack.
